USS (Utility Systems Specialists)

Project: Creation of an in-ground fueling pit for Air Force One

Situation: USS was unhappy with its existing resource for this project so it decided to make a change. The project required a provider that was well versed in watertight fabrication and weld integrity. Even though the two companies had never worked together before, USS hired QuikCut to get the job done. As you’d imagine with a project of this magnitude, there were a lot of specific plans and protocols to adhere to, and a lot of pressure to meet all existing budgets and deadlines.

Solution: QuikCut managed all the resources and procurement for the project.
Based on the pressure and profile of the project, QuikCut instituted critical quality checks throughout the process to ensure everyone’s expectations were being met.

Success: This project signified the start of a successful, long-term partnership between USS and QuikCut. After meeting the rigorous product specifications, budgets, and timelines for Air Force One’s fueling pit, QuikCut began working with USS on creating a wide variety of quality aviation-themed products. Today, QuikCut serves as a virtual division of USS, collaborating and working on projects at commercial airports and military bases all over the world.
